چکیده

A 95 m thick succession of grey siliceous limestone and marl on Mount Rettenstein in the Northern Calcareous Alps allowed us to study well-preserved diverse radiolarian assemblages across Sinemurian–Pliensbachian boundary. The distribution 31 most characteristic species is presented. Ammonites Jamesoni Subzone, topmost subzone Zone, have been previously found upper part section. data are complemented with calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphy, carbon strontium isotope analyses bulk carbonate samples. negative stable excursion (CIE) occurs middle section correlated supraregional Sinemurian – Pliensbachian Boundary Event. These results contribute stability Lower Jurassic will allow recognition deep-marine successions where ammonites absent.

The Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous shallow water platform carbonates of the Northern Calcareous Alps (Plassen Formation, “Lärchberg Formation”) and the resedimented deposits of the latter within basinal series (Barmstein Limestone, Tressenstein Limestone) are currently under re-investigation (SCHLAGINTWEIT et al., 2003; GAWLICK et al., 2005). This shallow water development is directly linke...

Calcareous Nannofossils in Holocene Surface Sediments of the Persian Gulf

The effect of the paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental changes on the structure of the bioticcommunities are stronger and better recorded in the shelf area than in the open sea. The present study isdevoted to impact of climatic events on some species of calcareous nannofossils. For this reason, 17samples of surface sediments of the Persian Gulf were studied. Preservation of calcareous nannofoss...

Bilateral calcareous bursitis at the elbow.

A close correlation exists between the pathomechanism and localisation of calcareous bursitis and calcification of tendons and tendon sheaths. Recent descriptions emphasise this fact and give calcifying bursitis. tendinitis and paratendinitis the common name of periarthritis calcarea (Mark#{243} 1956, B#{225}nki1964). Calcareous bursitis is frequently encountered in the shoulder region but it i...

Calcareous nannofossils biostratigraphy of the Campanian-Danian interval, Gurpi Formation in the Zagros Basin, SouthWest Iran

This study presents calcareous nannofossils biostratigraphy of the Campanian‒Danian interval at the Gurpi Formation in the southwest of Ilam Province, in the Zagros Basin. The studied sequence of the Gurpi Formation mainly consists of marly shale and limestones. The thickness of Gurpi Formation was measured as approximately 230 m. Forty-five species belonging to twenty-eight genera were recorde...
